The Beauty of Black (Tourmaline)

The Beauty of Black (Tourmaline)

As an energy healer with hundreds of hours of experience working with the public, I cannot overstate the significance of black tourmaline in the healing process. The black tourmaline can be instrumental in achieving balance in all areas of our being.

On a mental and emotional level, this stone helps to dispel negative thoughts and feelings that we may have about ourselves or others. In releasing self-judgment and feelings of unworthiness, black tourmaline can be a conduit for emotional/mental harmony. Furthermore, black tourmaline’s vibrational association with our root chakra can help bring about a sense of stability and security by strengthening our energy field.

This process of root chakra strengthening also helps to prevent the absorption of the negative energy of those around us. For people with high levels of stress this stone will gently help to foster calm, neutralizing any negative emotions and bring peace and balance.

Physically, black tourmaline has been reported to improve circulation and support our overall immune system. After a hard day at work, lying down in a grid of black tourmaline helps us move from stress to a place of peace as we detox from the day.

As an Earth element stone, black tourmaline purifies our aura by clearing and grounding us energetically. When we are grounded not only do we come into balance personally, but it initiates the process of harmonizing other areas of our lives from a more calm place.

Personally, I love the look and feel of black tourmaline. I find that having it in my energy field either holding it, wearing it, or keeping it in my pocket helps me to stay in balance and grounded. Of all the tourmalines the black variety is a must have stone for everyone - not just healers.

Black tourmaline is a powerful tool for healing by itself, but also works wonderfully with other stones, in particular quartz - an amazing combination that gets stuck energy moving again.
